Baramenco has been installing air conditioning in Sydney homes since 1970. More than five decades on, we are still based in Hornsby, still engineering-led, and still earning new work from customers we have looked after for years.
More than fifty years, mostly by word of mouth.
We started out in 1970, and became Baramenco Pty Ltd in 1972. Back then most homes had no air conditioning at all, so a lot of the early work was commercial. As more people started putting systems into their houses, we did too, and we have been at it on Sydney's north ever since.
What has not changed is how we work: turn up when we say we will, quote it honestly, install it neatly, and sort it out if anything goes wrong down the track. It is not complicated, but it is rarer than it should be, and it is why so much of our week is spent looking after people we first installed for years ago, often now on their second or third system with us.
We are still in Hornsby. Nathan, who owns the business, still goes out to most quotes himself, and you will usually get one of us on the phone rather than a call centre. Between the team there is well over 100 years of experience, and we still fit gear we fully expect to be back servicing in ten or fifteen years.

We start out installing air conditioning on Sydney's north.
- 1972
Incorporated as Baramenco Pty Ltd, the name we still trade under today.
- 1980s
Become a registered Daikin dealer as Daikin sets up in Australia, and an accredited member of the Air Conditioning Dealers Association (ACDA). Both relationships still stand today.
- 2000s
Recognised as a Daikin Super Dealer, a status we have now held year on year for more than 20 years, and later receive Daikin's Lifetime Sales Award.
- Recent years
Add TCL and Rinnai to our range as budget-friendly options alongside Daikin, and fit Advantage Air smart zoning on more and more of our ducted installations.

Still family owned, still in Hornsby, with plenty of customers now on their second or third system with us.

For as long as Baramenco is in business, any issue or fault arising from our own installation work is ours to rectify. That is not a marketing line. It is the way we have operated for five decades. The reason we are confident saying it is the same reason our customers come back: we get the work right the first time, and we do not disappear when things change.
What our ACDA membership means for you.
We have been an accredited member of the Air Conditioning Dealers Association (ACDA) since the 1980s. The ACDA is a network of independent air conditioning specialists across greater Sydney, and membership is not something you simply pay for.
New members have to be nominated by an existing member and meet a strict set of criteria first: a track record of ethical dealing, a reputation for high-quality workmanship, an established business that has been incorporated for at least five years, a showroom, and proper back-up service. Every member is then bound by the ACDA Code of Ethics and Workmanship Standards.
It also gives you an extra layer of protection. The ACDA backs new domestic installations by its members with a guarantee: if work is not completed to ACDA Standards, the Association will engage an independent Chartered Engineer to investigate and put it right. In other words, you are not relying on our word alone.
